Janette Cormier's acupuncture and herbal medicine clinic is located in Port Alberni in British Columbia, and offers a variety of integrative holistic treatments and procedures from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Herbal traditions. Each treatment is designed for the patient to address root level illness. Janette's goal is to help you improve and maintain your ability to heal. To do this well, we approach problems holistically - looking into environment, food habits, family history of illness, and many other factors to draft a customized treatment plan for you. We balance acupuncture treatments with herbal formulas and many other methods that will work well with your body's own systems. Janette is available 10:00 AM through 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. If you have questions or concerns regarding acupuncture or herbal medicine please feel free to contact her.
Health is much more than the absence of disease, it is an active state of well-being. David Hoffmann
We Treat The Whole You.
Each first session involves some paperwork detailing health concerns and medical history; go ahead and download the PDF to get a head start. We can listen and asses your body through the pulse in your wrist and by looking at your tongue. These are incredibly accurate diagnostic tools used in Traditional Chinese Medicine; they help practitioners understand the imbalances that may exist in your body and help to give clarity on how best to treat you using this system of medicine. Using these techniques in combination with sensitive listening skills, palpation, and by talking to your doctor Janette can outline a treatment protocol that works for you.
Depending on your health concerns Janette may want to speak with your doctor or other health care practitioner or view results from medical testing you may have had done recently. For more information please contact Janette.
Schedule an Appointment.
Your first appointment with us will be 90 minutes of attention and treatment. We want to to see the whole picture so we can support your body's defenses and confront any ailment or disease with natural medicine. We want you to understand the process – so we explain it. This way, you'll know how to ask questions, and more importantly, how to understand the answers.
